Quanergy M8 Systems
Like the Lite 8 System, the Quanergy M8 System offers some advancements over Velodyne at the same size.
The added returns assist with vegetation management mapping applications. The extended range increases field collection efficiency and safety standoffs. The higher point density further increases data fidelity and object classification.
This affordable lidar sensor is a must-have for businesses starting out in the topography mapping and reality capture businesses.

Velodyne HDL32e Systems
The HDL 32e is a scanning workhorse. While having the same returns and accuracy as the VLP 16 it has 32 LED elements for increased scanning capability. While widely used in UAS Lidar mapping, many customers like to use this sensor for road and infrastructure scanning due tot he wealth if point cloud information this system can provide.

AUTOPILOT SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS
Advanced Flight Automation is essential for achieving high accuracy point clouds with lidar systems. What most people do not understand is lidar is heavily reliant on inertial sensors to determine where they are located and provide the telemetry required.
Unlike cameras, which can be pointing in any direction at any time, flying with lidar requires smooth flights and some planning. Further with the cost of a lidar, making sure your system doesn’t crash is paramount. Flying without awareness of the ground below is almost guaranteed you will have an accident within the first year. This is why you need software that can increase your data collection performance and reduce your risk of losing your asset.

DRONE LIDAR FIELD TRAINING
With a Google Earth-like 3D mission planner interface, operators have an easier time navigating the environment and can plan more complex missions that regular software doesn’t allow. Moreover, a 3D mission planning environment gives more control allowing to view the created flight plan from all angles, taking into account any obstacles such as terrain or buildings.
DRONE DATA LEVEL 1
Here we go beyond just generating a point cloud and explore how to turn lidar into basic early stage products and load into over 350 different file types. This 1-day course was specifically designed for drone pilots looking to expand their business capabilities, companies which are looking to integrate this emergent technology into their traditional workflow, and business executives needing drone-based LiDAR technical training.
This is our highest reviewed course. Come find out why.

Accuracy varies depending on several factors.
Relative accuracy is a function of which LiDAR head and how far away from the surface you are scanning, typical relative accuracy is around 1 to 3 cm Velodyne and 5 to 15mm Riegl.
Absolute Accuracy, which is the error from a known reference point, depending on the method of geodetic correction.
Precise Post Processing (PPP) – which does not require a base station. Generally speaking, we find PPP solutions added 4cm of error to lidar relative error horizontally and vertically. However, results will vary based upon day, environment, and surveying attention to detail.
Post-Processing Kinematic (PPK) – uses a base station or an NGS OPUS CORS Station. This compares GPS error between rover (drone) and the base station and filters out common GPS error. The advantage to this over RTK is that PPK can sample GPS data forward and back over long periods of time to produce better accuracy.
LiDAR Ground Control Points – for any professional lidar service, control points are a must. control points not only serve as a way to reference your point cloud to actual elevations but serve as a proof of quality. When using control points that are 3x more accurate than your desired outcome, the absolute error can be almost reduced to the relative error of the lidar sensor in use.
Yes, we have car mounting packages.
Manned aircraft and fixed wing drone options
Yes you can but performance may be degraded depending on the application. There are a lot of manufactures attaching their LiDAR on drones. We have found if you are just doing bare earth mapping and need just a few points per meter squared then this option will work for you. However if you need mroe resolution, talk to our sales staff about pre-ordering one of our fixed wing options, designed to fly at slow speeds.
Can LiDAR Map Under Water?
No, mapping underwater is a two wavelength Lidar mapping process and requires different wavelengths to penetrate water.
What cameras can I use with this system ?
If you are buying a DJI Mounted system, you can use any DJI camera supported by the M600. For other cameras or other drones, we can custom mount it for you. Talk to our sales staff on custom options.
